Josh Smith, Group Finance Graduate
| Josh Smith started his career with RPC in early 2018, joining the International Graduate Training Programme following a degree in Accounting and Finance at Nottingham Trent University. “The training programme involves a variety of placements to help me gain experience across all areas of finance.” “My first 18 months are being spent at head office, covering a number of disciplines including internal management reporting, the production of full and half year statutory accounts and investor relations analysis, and tax. I will then have the opportunity to work at site level.” “My career progression is also being supported through the graduate workshops that I am attending and by my mentor, whose knowledge and experience are invaluable in helping my personal development.” “The workshops are held at different RPC sites, giving me invaluable insights into different parts of the business and its operations.” “RPC is sponsoring my study for the CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) qualification, which will further increase my knowledge and understanding in key areas, to assist in my day-to-day role as well as my overall career development. “I am grateful for the levels of support and opportunity provided by the programme and look forward to moving my way up through RPC.” |
